If You’re A Fish…Climb a Tree?

Have you ever been affected by unrealistic expectations?  No matter if they were imposed by yourself or others…their damage is the same!  The entire concept of judging others or comparing individuals was frowned upon by Jesus.  On more than one occasion he blasted the Pharisees with intense words…mostly due to their ignorance on this topic.

Each morning I do my best to make time for the Bible first…and then a few news sites and blogs…the other day I ran across this quote:

“Everyone is a genius.  But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.”  -Albert Einstein

Have you ever felt like an idiot, because you failed at living up to someone’s expectations?  I have!!!!  Can I just encourage you today that it’s ok to be you.  Get up…do your best…go to bed…do it again!  If you’re a fish…don’t climb a tree…SWIM!  If you’re a monkey…throw your POOH!  You get the idea…
